Our Physicians

Jeffrey Taffet, MD

Jeffrey Taffet, MD

Dr. Taffet came to Arizona in 1986. He graduated from Syracuse University Magna Cum Laude where he majored in Biology and Fine Arts. He completed his medical education at New Jersey College of Medicine and his residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He also completed a fellowship in Head and Neck reconstruction and was an assistant professor of Surgery at the State University in New York. He is a Member of The American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgeons, The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as State and County Medical Societies. He serves on the Physician Advisory Board of Diver Alert Network. He has performed over 15,000 sinus, and Head and Neck procedures.

He is an active skier,scuba diver and skydiver, with over 5000 jumps and the holder of several world records. He enjoys hiking the slot canyons of Northern Arizona and Southern Utah.  He has participated in Samaritan’s Outreach Program for 13 years where he delivered volunteer specialty medical care to outlying and rural areas of Arizona and the Navajo Nation.  In 2000, Dr Taffet was awarded Physician of the Year by Phoenix Memorial Hospital for his contributions.  His highest priorities are his wife Debbie and his two daughters Jordan and Jesse and sons Paxton and Cayden.

Our newest goal for 2015 and 2016 it that “Nobody should suffer anymore from sinus headaches now that office Sinuplasty is available!”

In 2009 and 2010, Dr. Taffet was featured in Phoenix Magazine’s Top Doc List for Otolaryngology.


Adrian Arya, MD

Adrian Arya, MD

Dr. Arya is Board Certified for Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery. He has been practicing in the Valley since 2000 and has been selected to the Phoenix Magazine- Top Doc List for Otolaryngology, based on the vote of peer physicians. His practice involves all areas of pediatric and adult otolaryngology and allergy. Much of his work is dedicated to the management of functional nasal problems, including minimally-invasive sinus procedures and balloon sinuplasty.

An Arizona native, he attended Arizona State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He went on to earn his medical degree from the highly regarded Tulane University School of Medicine. At graduation, he was awarded Alpha Omega Alpha honors based on academic excellence. He then completed his residency at the University of Texas in Houston and the MD Anderson Cancer Center, a top-rated institution.

Dr. Arya returned to Phoenix to start his private practice career with Biltmore Ear Nose and Throat in 2000. Since that time, he has maintained active membership and operating privileges at the finest Valley facilities, including Phoenix Children’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital.

Dr. Arya enjoys wildlife photography and travel with his wife Kerry. They are parents to two beautiful daughters, Eliza and Audrey.


David Bowne, MD

David Bowne, MD

Dr. David Bowne is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon.  He has been practicing Otolaryngology since 2002.  He has been recognized as a “Top Physician” by the National Consumer Research Council of America.  He practices all areas of Otolaryngology with an emphasis on Sinus, Pediatric and Allergy related issues.  He has an additional board certification in Allergy which very few Otolaryngologists possess.

Dr. Bowne attended St. Louis University School of Medicine where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the medical honors society, “Alpha Omega Alpha”.  He completed his Otolaryngology residency at St. Louis University and went on to operate a solo practice in Missouri for six years before moving to the Phoenix Valley.  He has privileges at many of the finest institutions in the valley including Phoenix Children’s Hospital, St Joseph (Dignity) Hospitals and Banner Hospitals.

Dr. Bowne can often be found on one of the many hiking trails throughout the valley racing his sons Ethan and Connor.


J. Tyler French, MD

J. Tyler French, MD

Dr. French is board-certified in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. His practice includes a full range of adult and pediatric ear, nose and throat disorders, as well as allergy. He is dedicated to helping each patient understand their condition and decide on the best treatment option for them. He offers both medical, surgical and office-based procedural treatments. He has a special interest in treating the difficult sinonasal and allergy issues we see in the Southwest, but still very much enjoys treating pediatric patients and a full range of ENT problems.

Dr. French joined Biltmore ENT in 2014. He was born in Texas and raised in Cottonwood, Arizona. He attended the University of Arizona, for both college and medical school, where he graduated with honors. He went on to complete his residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He dedicated additional time to studying new treatments for head and neck cancer and was recognized twice for additional research that he presented at national meetings. After finishing as a chief resident in San Antonio, Dr. French and his wife moved back to the Phoenix area to be close to family, and to share the great outdoor opportunities that Arizona has to offer with their daughter.


Christian Paquet, MD

Dr. Christian Paquet is a fellowship-trained facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and board-certified otolaryngologist with an impressive educational background. He completed both medical school and residency at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine. Following residency, Dr. Paquet pursued fellowship training under the auspices of renowned facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Andrew Frankel in Beverly Hills, CA.

Dr. Paquet is fully trained in all aspects of Otolaryngology. His practice focuses on aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and endoscopic sinus surgery. In addition to nasal surgery, he has extensive training for surgery of the aging face, encompassing procedures such as facelift, neck lift, eyelid surgery, cosmetic fillers, and BOTOX®.

Patricia Sullivan, PA-C

Patricia Sullivan, PA-C

Patty Sullivan, PA-C is board certified and licensed physician assistant. She joined Biltmore ENT in 2011 and has been a key member of our team since then. She has extensive ear, nose and throat experience which is unique among P .A.s and makes her a particularly good fit here. She is fluent in Spanish and English. Each of our physicians enjoy working with her and have come to depend on her clinical expertise and ability.

Patty graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2003 where she majored in Applied Health Science. She received her Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies degree from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2009. She worked for 2 years in the primary care arena before transitioning to ENT in 2011.

PA Sullivan was born and raised in South Texas. She has lived in Phoenix since 2003. She is married and has a daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family, movies and travel.


Elaine Slepak, AuD, CCC-A, FAAA

Elaine Slepak, AuD, CCC-A, FAAA – Director of Audiology

Elaine Slepak, Au.D. graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona with two Bachelor’s degrees: one in Speech and Hearing Sciences, the other in Special Education with an emphasis in Deaf Studies and a concentration in Sign Language Interpreting. Elaine then continued her education at the University of Arizona, one of the top audiology programs in the country, and obtained a Master’s and Doctoral degree in Audiology. She completed her Clinical Fellowship in Atlanta, GA at the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

Elaine is a member of the American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA) and the American Hearing Aid Association (AHAA). She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.  She is licensed to practice Audiology in the state of Arizona and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competency through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Elaine specializes in diagnostic audiology and aural rehabilitation as well as hearing aid evaluations and dispensing.
